The comedy police are at it again.

obama-bowling1The other night our president made history by appearing on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  He made history, he made me laugh and he made the people at the Special Olympics unhappy.  I am grateful to anyone who can make me laugh.  People don’t laugh enough

This is how it went down: Toward the end of the interview Obama answered Jay Leno’s inquiry into whether he was using the White House bowling alley.

“I bowled a 129,” he said

“That’s very good, Mr. President,” Leno sarcastically replied.

“It’s like the Special Olympics or something,” the president said.

This is funny.  Our president has some natural comedic ability.  He has timing, he can laugh at himself and he has economy of words.    “It’s like the Special Olympics…”  Look at all this tells us.  He knows he will never compete against a pro.  He compares himself to an athlete with a disability.  Why is this offensive?  South Park did a very funny episode on Special Olympics. In the episode Cartman, (one of my personal heroes) figures he can be a sure winner at the Special Olympics and feigns a disability to get in.  Of course he is beaten by the disabled athletes.  My guess is that president Obama would lose bowling game against a disabled bowler.  And that would make him eligible for the Extra Special Special Olympics.

We need to lighten up.  We are eliminating one by one the topics about which we can laugh.  Keep up this elimination process and we will have nothing left we can laugh at.  That in itself is just as dangerous to the survival of mankind as is global warming.

Why Seven cont’d

With Sneezy on top Snow happily moanedsneezy14
The drawf proved where his name came from
…..On her big Snow White bust
…..Cocaine he did dust
He sniffed, and sneezed and then did come.

Seeing Dopey nude, Snow broke into song
It seems the dwarf had one very large dong
…..To Snow’s delight
…..It got even better that night
Because Dopey could go all night long!dopey1

Why seven?

snow-dancing12

When I read to my kids I often wondered about why the authors chose certain numbers.  I mean why three pigs, why ten little indians and why seven drawfs.  Then I took a good look at Snow White.  She is lost in a forest and yet look how happy she is.  Why so happy, Snow?  Then is occurred to me…

Snow White in the forest did seek
Shelter in a house by the creek
…..When she found that inside
…..Seven dwarfs did reside
doc11She exclaimed, “Great one for each night of the week.”

Doc she thought might be the best night
But ole Snow, she just didn’t think right
…..When they both did undress
…..Snow cried in distress
Crap, you’re a f**kin’ transvestite!

The hidden messages in children’s literature Part 1.

green-eggs-and-joint

At yoga the other day I overheard two mothers talking about their children.  One mother talked about her daughter’s school celebrating Dr. Seuss.  As part of that celebration the parents made green eggs and ham for the class and the students were asked to write where they would eat green eggs and ham.  My kids are college age and I for one am happy to be past the children’s book phase.  I had problems with the hidden messages in so many of the children’s books.legalize-it1

Green eggs and ham was about a guy who pushes the product on another who really has no interest in or need for it.  When the “pushee” finally relents and tries the green stuff…he is hooked.  He will eat them in the park he will eat them in the dark he will eat them here and there he will eat them anywhere!  So we teach our kids that not only is it OK to accept green stuff from strangers it’s a good idea because they, our kids, will like it on a train in the rain in a box with a fox they will like it here or there..our kids will like it everywhere.

I suppose in the campaign to legalize marijuana Sam-I-Am will make a good spokesperson.
